ARTICLE I: Purpose

The club is independent, not affiliated or sponsored by any motorcycle manufacturer or police agency.

The club was instituted to offer motorcycling benefits and services to active, retired, and or vested police officers, along with honorably discharged veterans of the armed forces that served in the law enforcement field, their families and friends.

The goal of the club is to generate an increased level of enthusiasm for riding motorcycles and support other clubs.

Club events are intended to promote safe activities.

The club will also focus on raising money and donating time to help other non-profit organizations.

 

ARTICLE II: Membership

You must own and ride a Motorcycle

Any make of motorcycle is allowed for membership

Be a full time, part time, or reserve police officers with power to arrest. This includes Military LE.

Or be retired or vested police officer from a full time law enforcement agency. This includes military LE discharged honorably.

You must be licensed to ride and operate a motorcycle.

Each law enforcement officer can sponsor his/her spouse and one associate member who can in turn sponsor his/her spouse

Associate will wear a Associate bottom rocker on their colors and spouse's depending on sex will have Darlin's or Associate bottom rockers.

 

ARTICLE IIl: General Provisions

Dues: At the present time there are no monthly dues. A fee of $90.00 will be assessed and sent with application to cover patches and mailing.

Colors: All patches will be the same on the back nothing will show except the Reguladores LEMC patch and the chapter city bottom rocker or the associate rocker for non-law enforcement members. There is only one official patch design for the club, it will not be changer or altered by any member or chapter. You may do what you want with the front of your vest.

Associates will wear associate & city bottom rockers. Darlin’s will wear Darlin & city bottom rockers.

Colors must be on black leather vest.

All patch holders must wear their colors on all club runs or functions.

Official meetings will be held every three months at a predetermined place and time or as often as each chapter desires.

All members must own and ride a motorcycle with the exception of Darlin’s.

Members can not belong to other Law Enforcement motorcycle clubs.

No prospecting period to become a member

Safety helmet while on runs is strictly up to local or state law or the individual.

Every chapter will be responsible for their own club finances, functions, and the conduct of their chapter members.

Children of members may wear the patch. No rockers until old enough to ride their own motorcycle.

Each chapter may decide how long "Terms of office" are for elected officials. President and Vice President for each chapter must be a law enforcement person. All other offices can be held by law enforcement, associates or darlins. All Members Law Enforcement, Associates, or Darlin’s have equal vote.

Each chapter may appoint a chaplain which should be a permanent position.

 

ARTICLE IV: Name

The name of this organization shall be Reguladores Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. The 4 founders of the club reserve all rights to the control and design of the colors, name Reguladores, and recruitment applications

ARTICLE VI: Parliamentary Authority

The rules contained in the current edition of Robert's Rules of order, newly revised shall govern the club in all cases to which they are applicable. In which they are not consistent with these by-laws, the Reguladores LEMC.

 

ARTICLE VII: Starting a New Chapter

In order to start a new chapter you must have:

3 Full time Law enforcement officers, retired law enforcement officers, military law enforcement officers or retired military law enforcement officers or any combination of the above
